Orlando Magic - NBA - The franchise was founded in 1989 as an expansion franchise and has had such notable NBA stars as Shaquille O'Neal, Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway, Grant Hill, and Tracy McGrady throughout its young history. Orlando Predators - Arena Football - The Orlando Predators franchise was awarded by the AFL to Davey Johnson, Tracy Allen and Michael McBath on February 28, 1991, and began play that same year, the only year so far that they missed the playoffs. Annually among the league-leaders in attendance, they have qualified for the playoffs 16 consecutive years and they even posted 15 consecutive winning seasons from 1992-2006, the longest active streak in the AFL. Orlando Sharks - Soccer - The Orlando Sharks are a U.S. indoor soccer team that began play in the Major Indoor Soccer League for the 2007 - 2008 season. The team is owned by the Buena Vista Corporation, and will play at the Amway Arena, sharing the facility with the AFL's Predators and the NBA's Magic. Orlando Rage - Minor League Football - The team name was revived in 2004 as a member of the minor-league Southern States Football League, after a merger between the Orlando Starz and Orlando Panthers franchises.
